This started when i tried to update firmware from whatever to 2.01. I made the mistake of updating monkey with the POD attached. Gave me an error of some sort I dont remember exactly. Flashed everything and it now says 2.01 on the thing

Now getting DSP failed boot.

DId factory reset. After I did, DSP failed boot happened again.

What next?

If you mean that I should do the factory reset, Yes I have done that and it still is not working, giving me the DSP boot thing. All the things I have tried to do in monkey like upgrade from file have ended in 80009000 unknown MIDI error failure. apparently it did let me roll it back to 1.31. but still DSP boot failure. I am going to  try factory reset again right now, and it failed again. going to update to latest again.

Hmmm it does make a difference as to what HD you have and we are talking about a "safe mode reflash" not a reset.

From Spaceatl's old post: http://line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/53467

You can bring the HD400 up in safe mode the same way you do for a reset...

  • Power up holding A.
  • connect the USB cable
  • start the monkey and try to flash it.

If it isn't coming up correctly in the Monkey, kick off the driver install from Monkey, unplug the HD400 USB and follow the driver install prompts...Once the driver is in, you should be able to flash...I would suggest that you avoid installing the driver again in the all in one installs of Edit and Monkey....

It looks like your firmware got bonkered and needs to be reinstalled not reset.

Hope that helps.
