dunno where I'm going wrong - I plugged in link cable & I have no sound (using strictly VDI to pod & link from there...maybe page 9/10 of setup screen on 500?? Just looked @ connectivity vid...seems that I have it right?

I can see live changes on knobs...just no sound

Just had scare 4 the day  - I was so pissed w/no sound I plugged straight in w/1/4 & there was nothing - took out L6 line after shutting amp -down...better -

I STILL cant get sound w/strictly VDI & L6 link. ..I can hear hiss on heavier patches but no reaction from guitar

I just read this from another post - Hello,

One item to check before updating the DT firmware: ensure the POD HD unit is set to MIDI channel 1 - otherwise the L6 connection may not work correctly.  If you are on MIDI channel 1 then I reccomend reflashing the DT using a supported MIDI/USB Converter.  I personally use the MIDISport Uno and have always had great results.

now I never checked POD midi before I updated the DT (but POD wasn't connected then & update WAS successful - dunno  - grasping @ straws here

ok just to confirm,  guitar>DT=sound.  guitar>POD>headphones=sound.  guitar>POD>DT=no sound.  right?

1. check POD input set right.

2. check DT is not in STBY (sorry, just covering bases)

3. check BOTH POD and DT Master are turned up,  Start with both at 1/4. and guitar volume up.
