pierrebriend
Recently I had to install the stagescape about 20 m ALAT from the closest L3. I had only 2x15m Aes 110 ohms cable. I connected them together And got a 30 m' long cable. When we started the soundcheck, we noticed that there was frequent lost of signal too the L2/L3 ring. I immediatly thougt that It was due to the LIVELINK ring. We decided to review the connections using L/R outputs And A/B/C/D monitors outputs. It tooks 40 mn to me to do that...instead proceeding to the Sound check... Then everything was RIGHT was OK. Then, please believe the user Manuel and the LINE6 recommandation to not use too long cable ( 20 m long maxi) !

SiWatts69
It's worth adding that *some* of your problem *may* have been created by the joining of two cables together rather than specifically the length of cable run. The cable recommendations are: AES/EBU cable 50' point to point max Single run (ie not joined) 50' is approx. 15m (not 20m!!!)

I think now a link or a snap shot of the part of manual that is pertinent should be posted too, lol. It's also worth noting again that anyone attempting to learn how to use these devices and rig them should read the manuals.
