brywool
Hi I really dig the HD500. However, I'm having a helluva time dialing in my patches for consistent volume. I THINK I have it all together, then hit the gig and my patch volumes are all over the place, this after spending hours tweaking. Would using a DAW's meters be a better way than trusting my ears to do this? Ears get tired after a while and it seems that something visual would REALLY help with this. Astaroth_CY
I tried this, was a waste of time. You can't estimate how well your tone will cut through the mix just by looking at its loudness on a meter. You have to adjust its volume live while practicing with your band, it's the only way that's worth your time. It's long and tedious, but that's one of the downsides of being able to use a totally different tone for every song.
