antkn33
I have a few mics, two of which are condensers. I know they require phantom power so they would use the xlr inputs. Can I plug in a mic that requires phantom power and a mic that doesn't in to the xlrs at the same time? would the phantom power damage the mic that doesn't require it?Also, if I get an xlr to 1/4" cable, can I use one of the 1/4" inputs on the UX2 for recording the mic? Just want to make sure it won't damage the mic in some way. Thanks
fflbrgst
You can plug both a condensor mic and dynamic mic in at the same time with phantom power and it will not damage the dynamic mic. Remember to always plug in the mics first, then turn on the phantom power, and turn off the phantom power before unplugging the mics. the 1/4" inpiuts do not have mic preamps, so will not boost the signal enough for usable sound.
