suffersystem
Okay, I bought a Pod HD300 yesterday, and the Line 6 website appeared to be down last night as I could not download the edit software. Finally this morning I try and it worked. So I play around in it a bit, but for some reason Monkey won't connect to the server, so I can't update anything. I try and do it from the website, and now it says my USB firmware is not there, and it will not connect to any device, the money or the edit software. I have tried re-installing the drivers, the edit software, the monkey, but nothing is working. It sucks as I sold my X3 Live, which I thought was amazing, and got this one, but I am very much regretting the decision. It shoul;dn't be this much work to just use the damn thing. Any tips? As if I can't get it back up and running by tonight I will unfortunately just take it back and go with the zoom I had seen at the store or something else. Very frustrated and disappointed. Charlie_Watt
I had problems with Monkey connecting and it was my firewall.
suffersystem
Thanks, I have tried it with my firewall disabled, and Monkey still will not connect to the Line 6 server.
alienux
Have you called Line 6 support yet?
suffersystem
I tried searching for even just the usb firmware everywhere to even get that up and running but no luck. I had it working and was able to play with it, but since my pod is still running version 1.10 I wanted to update it, and that's when everything went to hell, and nothing I am doing seems to be able to fix the issue. It sucks, because monkey won't connect to the server, so therefore I cannot update anything that way, and every single usb port I have plugged into on the computer says it can't install the drivers, but I have installed all the drivers and could find, and then re-installed them, tried different combinations. I am just at a loss I guess.
suffersystem
Have you called Line 6 support yet? Would they offer support on a used item? I bought it from a Long And MacQuade's here where I live.
silverhead
Yes, they will provide support. Open a support ticket here: http://line6.com/support/tickets/add.html The HD300 is discontinued but still supported.
suffersystem
Thanks, I made a ticket and hopefully will get a response, as right now I am at a loss on what to do. I have spent four hours trying different things, un installing, and re-installing, checking online and downloading driver helpers, etc. I have turned off my firewalls, etc. As of right now the Monkey will not connect to the Line 6 server, so cannot update anything using that, and no matter what I try downloading manually, I still can't get the USB firmware back. Unfortunately, if I can't resolve the issue in the next day or two I will have to return it and go with another company and product. I have a couple of projects on the go and really have to get these tones done up and get some work put in. Even if they can send me the individual fuiles or something. I just need a USB driver to let me connect, and then somehow get this damn Monkey to connect to the line 6 server. I am usually pretty handy at computer troubleshooting, but I am at my wits end on this one.
suffersystem
Thanks for the tips guys, but I am giving up on it. I brought it into work, and the drivers still will not install. The Monkey will now connect to the server from this computer, but it still shows no USB or firmware on it, as the POD will not connect, and I have tried three different usb ports, but it keeps coming back that the driver is not found. I updated the drivers as well a few times from the Monkey but it still says no for being updated. I have just had enough, things should not be this difficult with gear.
