Bodziek
Hello! I need some information before buying one of those interfaces. Now I'm browsing Internet, and there are a lot of not exact information. Can I record vocal on GX with 6,3mm jack mic? Some people say that it's instrument-designed input, and there will be problems, is that true? If yes, what can I do to avoid that? Another thing is UX1 - it has XLR input, but what about 6,3mm jack mics? I would still have to plug that into guitar-in.
Triryche
Technically you can, assuming you have a dynamic mic and not a condenser mic, but the input level will be low, which you may be able to compensate for with the mic preamp sims, but it is intend more for guiatr. Both the UX1 and the UX2 have mic gain controls so it is better suited for recording with a mic, and the UX2 has phantom power which will allow you to use a condenser mic.
