Issue with Pod HD Pro X in Reaper

You're going to need a usb to midi interface - the pod hd pro x isn't one these. I found one recently at a used music store for $5. You can find cheap ones (I got one of these) online too. However, some of them can cost $50 and up. The one I got seems to work just fine with reaper. Take a look at appendix B in the advanced user guide for all the correct midi info you'll need. It's pretty simple to set up and get working. You can change patches, toggle effects, and even control the expression pedal all from within the DAW.

Thanks. So I guess something like this (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Adapter-USB-to-Midi-In-Out/dp/B000XRI3CC) will do fine. I suppose you connect the MIDI cables to the Pod and the usb to the pc right?

Yep.

But the cheap ones can have mixed results.

Line6 recommends the M-Audio Midisport.

Here are 2 versions:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/M-Audio-Midisport-1x1-MIDI-Interface/dp/B00006I5HD

That's not to say the cheaper one won't work, but at least returns thru Amazon are easy.

That looks just like the one I have.

The cheaper ones may be suspect when you're starting to work with more complex midi stuff. But for the simple commands the pod accepts, I would bet money that most if not all of the cheaper ones will work.
