amzello
Hey guys, brand new here and just bought a HD500 tonight. I'm sure the answer I'm looking for is in the archives of the forum here but i haven't got a chance to dig to deep and I'm sure its and easy answer as well. I am trying to figure out the best method for getting tight heavy distorted tones. I borrowed a friend of mines HD Pro years ago and found a thread giving me tips and I got great sounds out of it, problem is I cant find the thread and havent been able to contact my friend for a couple years to get the patches. I read about using overdrives before the amp as well as compressors and noise gates but I cannot remember where the gates and compressors go in relation to the O.D. and amps to get the clean high gain sounds without getting slammed with feedback and hum. Any advice or links are appreciated and again I apologize for the question that has been asked a thousand times already.
pianoguyy
1. http://foobazaar.com/podhd/toneGuide/ 2. Customtone has over 6000 files you can download. Check to see what you like, and then check what they used. 3. I suggest you make sure you have all of the update software.
