Seems to me someone mentioned that a case built for a Strat or Ibanez guitar worked but I don't really remember. Any advice? I know I can have one custom made. I'd like to spend a little less than that. I got a cheapo Gator case for mine. They're sold all over the place...you can find 'em online. Neighborhood of 50-60 bucks (maybe less? don't remember). More than adequate for around the house and local gigging (unless you really throw stuff around), but not a "road case". If I were touring Europe, I'd get something more substantial. Hey_Joe Posted February 23, 2015 Share Posted February 23, 2015 I bought an SKB-66PRO, SKB Pro Series Guitar Case - Stratocaster/Telecaster Fit from Sweetwater http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/1SKB-66PRO I saw the case mentioned in another older thread about 69 cases and called my Sweetwater rep and he had the JTV69 checked to make sure of fit. I was a little worried because it was good and snug but I had installed Dunlop Straploks on it which extends the length just a smidge but it went right in. Cost me $159.99.
