Duncan59
Hi everyone. My lovely HD500x does not "record" in my loop for more than about 15 seconds, when it begins recording again in a new layer over the other one. What I want is to lay my first layer down until I turn it off (after 30 seconds) then record the next one on top of that. Help? Many thanks! :)
phil_m
To get the full 48 seconds, you need to hit the switch for half speed before recording your loop. That will double the available recording time. Without doing that, it's limited to 24 seconds.
silverhead
Note also that the looper has no concept of timing or tempo. The recording begins the instant you tap the RECORD footswitch, not when you start playing. And it stops recording when you tap the footswitch again, not when you stop playing. In other words, you get either 24 or 48 seconds maximum recording unless you stop the recording manually before that. There's no way you should have a limit of 15 seconds unless you started playing 9 seconds after you started recording (silence).
mrnighthawkcali
I gave up on looping a simple 12 bar blues progression because they require 30 seconds. I always ran out of time. Thank you for posting the 1/2 speed suggestion to allow more time. I've never, ever used the 1/2 speed button for anything before. I'm all over this now.
