rkymtnhi
I have an older tone port UX2 and garageband 10.0.3 (latest version). According to line 6 monkey and license manager all of my software and drivers are up to date. I have a simple two track recording setup on garage band, each channel has the appropriate UX2 input selected and are armed to record. Garage band doesn't detect the signal from the mic channel, instead opting to "see" the guitar input although input 1 is selected for that track--I've also tried inputs 1&2 combined and input 2 at different times--padded or not. I know the mic (Sennheiser e935) is fine--it was used live last weekend. The guitar is an acoustic with an active piezo system--and it has plenty of signal strength, recording just fine using input 3 or 4. The result from all of this is that both tracks are recording the guitar input, and the vocals are not getting captured. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong? This should in theory function, but it isn't cooperating. I've attached a screenshot to see if that helps... Thanks for your help!
BigChas52
Make sure that the ASIO driver for the UX2 is set so that one of your inputs is set to "MIC" By default all of the inputs are set to use the instrument input. Have you read the manual yet? It has some good tips for setup.
