Need help on Firmware Update v2.6

Hi, I just finished installing the new firmware update and the modelpacks and I saw in the forum that I need to do a global update?

and then a Pedal Calibration?

Could anyone confirm that these are true and mandatory? 

 

 

P.S: I haven't reboot my Pod yet in order to see if it's all done, because I was worried about the consequences of not doing a global update: 

 

"If you do not do this, one of the tell-tale symptoms that may surface after a Monkey Flash Memory update is that the HD500 will be stuck in a continuous re-boot/power cycling state (you'll keep seeing the Logo and the unit keeps re-starting itself). Sometimes this may not occur, but a secondary telltale sign that a user has not performed a Global Settings reset is the USB communication between the HD500 and HD500 Edit software will be extremely slow/sluggish."

when I flashed my hd500 to the latest firmware 2.32 after it had finished and told me to unplug power cable. I re-powered up without the reset and it was fine, although I decided to I unplugged it again and done the global Rest and recalibrated my pedal, but I would advise once you pull the power lead do the global reset then, just in case.

Well, these steps aren't mandatory, but it doesn't take very long to do both steps and doing them decreases the possibility of unexplained behavior from the pod.

 

In the case of a reboot logo situation, you really have no choice but to try a global reset anyway.
