Just being an IT guy by trade i had to check for myself.

I was able to update and tested the following things as working without any effort:

hd pro x

hd500

jtv59

jtv69

pod farm

hd500 edit

hdprox edit

monkey

workbench hd

all the latest versions.

my system late 2012 mac mini (yosemite)

not denying the original posters issues... just saying mileage may vary, and things worked fine for me post update.

The line 6 is restarting itself, not the PC.

I disconnected the Pod HD Pro from the pc, started it and same thing hapend. It shows the menu, and after a few seconds its restarting itself over and over. I tried the factory reset but the screen just showed me "Update Flash". If i click the flash update i get the  "80007211 error. Firmware update timed out waiting for response from the device."

I even switched the usb entrance from my pc.

ok, so your computer is fine....

but the pod is stuck on the update flash screen?

try powering the pod on while holding the direction key left.

if there is no change try the same thing holding right.

if it still comes up to the update flash screen, plug it back into the computer and attempt to run monkey again....

if monkey gives you an error unplug reboot machine... then plug into a different usb port and try again.

I have been doing all of that in the last 2h :(

For 30min now, every time i start the line6, with or without the left/right/down arrow pressed, i just get a Update Flash screen. The Line6 Monkey can no see the unit, but i get an the same error every time i try to update.

P.S. sorry for my bad engurish, im really tired of all this... :(

Good news! I started the unit using the left arrow key pushed down, and the flash update worked, but only after selecting all my other patches to be erased.

It seems that this is the only way it worked.

  • 2 months later...

I haven't used my Pod HD500 on my MBP for a time.  When I plugged it in now, it's not being detected.  I realized I've upgraded my OSX to Yosemite already since the last time I used it with my Pod.

Now, since the Line6 Monkey is already outdated, I decided to delete it and uninstall the drivers.  I then downloaded the latest version of the Monkey (1.70).  Monkey shows I don't have any driver installed and 7.3.8 is available.  I updated the driver using the update selection button, laptop restarts as part of the installation and my Pod is still undetectable.  I checked Monkey again and found the driver is still missing.  I did several attempts installing the drivers, even downloaded the drivers and installing outside of Monkey and it still won't install.  Also tried installing 7.3.7, and still no luck.

So I guess my problem (for now) is how to get the Line6 drivers installed on my OSX Yosemite 10.10.3.
