patch change occasionally not working

I've only had my HD500x for a few weeks now but have noticed that sometimes when i change up or down a bank the patch-change that follows does not always work on the first button press.

I though perhaps i hadnt hit the button hard enough but it now seems that button A,B,C or D doesnt always register upon hitting, though a second push of the button does as expected.

Wondered if anyone else has encountered this?

i'm still on v1.32 firmware

thanks

I encounter this occasionally, on version 1.32, and the newest 2.62. This topic has come up before and most people seem to think it is a physical problem with the switches. It could be, but I'm not really convinced of that. For one thing, this only happens when switching patches, never when using the same switch to toggle an effect.

If it's a physical problem, a solution might be taking some contact cleaner to the switches and/or trying to straighten a twisted spring. But now you're talking about taking the pod apart.

Had my unit for about two months now. This happens to me occasionally, too. Kind of relieved, and worried at the same time, that my problem is not unique. The switches are responsive on effects switching all the time so it doesn't seem to be a physical problem.

thanks for the comments, everyone. Reassuring to hear other have a similar issue.

My guess is that its a software issue as it stalls the pod intermittently only following a +/- bank change.

Keeps me on my toes!

Guys- out of interest, what "view" mode do you usually have selected- just in case this has any effect on the issue?

thanks

Playing last night with my band. Had the weirdest thing happen. Twice during the set the volume suddenly jacked way up. I looked down and the "view" had changed to show the amp settings as if I had called them up. I thought maybe I had somehow accidentally touched the volume knob on the HD500. But when you do that, it only brings up that view temporarily. The view of the amp parameters was there and staying there. I had to quickly change to another patch and then back again.
As I said, it did it twice about 30 minutes apart. Never had that happen before.
