the29band Posted May 1, 2015 Share Posted May 1, 2015 I received a new JTV69 yesterday. The guitar works fine when connected to HD500 via VDI cable but the modeling doesn't turn on with battery. I charged the battery for about 7 hours. When the battery in inserted into the battery compartment in the JTV, it shows 4 lights. Does this mean the battery connection in the guitar is faulty or could it be the battery? I am assuming former else the battery lights wouldn't come up showing full charge. Charlie_Watt Posted May 2, 2015 Share Posted May 2, 2015 TRS cable will work fine - same as a mono cable for any guitar. The Variax supports external power with a TRS cable. It sounds like there is a problem with the battery connection in your guitar.
