Several users on the forum say they use the pre amps with their DT amps as the DTs provide a true tube power amp section. Others have said they like using the full amps with their DTs for some applications. I think most would agree to let your ears be your guide. Don't avoid using them because these guys said that they are meant to be used in some specific ways! (Please no hate. I don't mean to be hostile. I just want to have a healthy argument) Yes the Pre versions were meant to be used with DT's and with the Power section of a Real Amp, but that's not the only way that someone should use them! I have found some really good results with many Pre versions and I use them every day on my patches!
