cowtung Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 I'm trying to use the HD500X with Propellerhead's Reason. Reason only allows selection of one audio device (for both input and output), and I want to record a clean signal from the POD. Am I correct in assuming that to get a clean guitar signal from the POD with no effects, I have to create a preset for that? When I disable the amp model in the effects chain, it goes silent, so I'm not sure of the best way to do this. Also, I am using Reason because in addition to POD Farm enabling the use of all Line 6 amps within Reason, it has it's own effects I want to use. I want to hear these effects live while I'm playing without the Monitor coming through my headphones attached to the POD. Since I can't use both my sound card and the POD at the same time in Reason (stupid) I need to be able to disable monitoring through the headphones so I ONLY hear the USB out from the POD. Is there any way to do this? I know that what I'm basically asking for is identical to if I just got a simple USB interface and used that instead of the POD, but the POD's USB input is higher quality than my current USB interface. Also, I want to quickly switch from recording in Reason to just messing around without the computer being involved without having to move the guitar and headphones connections every time I switch.
