wildmda
I just bought the HD500x and installed monkey. During the install of firmware or flash updates, it asked if I wanted to carry forward previous patches yes/no. I don't recall how I answered this question. How can I confirm that I have all the patches previous and updated on my HD500X? Appreciate the help
Rocco_Crocco
They are all there. Have fun with your pod. Recommended reading: http://foobazaar.com/podhd/toneGuide/
panaman
if you didnt backup before the update, the previous ones are gone for good. the setlists of older flash versions can still be downloaded, search the forum for setlist. (and then there is custumtone.) from a programmers point of view, monkey should suggest a backup or make one automatically, the kilobytes of a setlist will not overload your pcs. since we can probably not ecpect many updates for the pod, time for the helix idea scale
wildmda
Thanks. Is there a way for me to know if you I still have the old patches? I was just starting so I don't know what patches existed at the beginning. Thanks.
silverhead
There is very little difference in the factory presets from the previous firmware to the current firmware; one setlist was added in the new firmware. Note that after updating the firmware you need to reset the global parameters to complete the installation. If you can then see a setlist named Variax you have the latest firmware. If you don't see the Variax setlist then you will benefit by reinstalling the latest firmware and answering 'No' when prompted to keep the existing presets. pianoguyy
If you are concerned about it --- do the update again. This time, make sure you do not keep the old patches. >> and as someone else mentioned, doing a global reset afterwards is suggested (which must include a pedal calibration.)
