Does the pod hd500 sound better than the spider in terms of sound speceifically for a live show? Im not talking leaps and bounds im just talking is it worth buying the pod over the spider when the spider is ready to go. pianoguyy Posted June 21, 2015 Share Posted June 21, 2015 Does it sound better? ABSOLUTELY But that also depends on what you mean by 'sound'. I go direct into the PA from the Pod. So, technically, there is no sound. The other option is: if you go into an amp, does the Pod sound better than the Spider, or is it the amp you are using?
