Power supply for used POD

Recommended Posts

Just got a used POD 2 at an auction and it came without a power supply. I have a 1Spot which supposedly will handle 90% of existing pedals. Unfortunately, POD seems to fall in the bad 10%. Is the power supply for POD proprietary? Is there a way I can adapt the 1Spot to be used on the POD? The voltage and capacity are within listed limits. As I have no way to tell if the pedal even works, I don't want to keep spending money to check. If any one can offer a suggestion, I would be very grateful. Thanks.

Well the specs for the Pod 2 PS is: Output: 9V AC, 2000mA,  normally the lil stomp pedals are DC at ~ 2-300 mA.

It is recommended to pickup a PS that meets the specs (or at least in the ballpark).

Thanks so much. I paid 20 bucks for the 1Spot and by the time I return it and pay shipping both way plus the gas to the shipping store, I may come out ahead tossing it into a drawer. Now I have to talk the wife into letting me order a second power supply!

Problem solved. Called Musician's Friend and they feel responsible for selling me the wrong power supply and will send me the right one free. They even are letting me keep the old power supply. Not sure what I will use it for but you never know. Now I should have the right ps in a day or two and can start experimenting. Would never have known what to buy without your help. thank you.
