So when do you think we can expect Windows 10 Drivers?

Recommended Posts

I can run Pod Farm in compatibility mode, Pod farm detects my microphone Windows 10 dosen't. Line 6 haven't said anything. I contacted support and they said they started when the final version of Windows 10 came out. I would really expect the driver to be out like this week or the next...

Anyone have here that have heard any news??

  • 2 weeks later...

I installed windows 10 yesterday and I had no sound at all with my UX2 (which had previously been excellent). I discovered it was the bit depth of the driver causing the issue, if you change the bit depth to 16 Bit 48000 you should be fine, although this does not solve many problems as much of the software I have requires 24 bit depth. The ASIO drivers also work (ish), I trust the Line 6 team will be working hard to get the new fully compatible drivers out. Please remember though that windows 10 has a whole new system for audio so a little additional time for the team to develop drivers that work well should be expected, you would be more unhappy if they released drivers that only partially worked.

Although I understand their delays in releasing compatible drivers, I have to say I am disappointed, I have spent a great deal of money on line6 equipment and to date it has not let me down but the drivers leave a lot to be desired. If they want people to spend money on hardware and software then surely they should prioritise the development of good quality drivers, its not like Windows 10 was only announced last week and launched with no notice.

So frustrating! I want to fuking play some guitar through Pod farm! I dont have a real amp so i'm fuking screwed!

Is your guitar more important than your OS? Then just go back to the earlier OS and you can play guitar again. Was there something you specifically hated about your current OS that 10 really improves on? I really don't understand the need to jump to the latest OS or blame non-functioning devices (not just Line 6 btw) on everyone but M$. Probably not a popular view but it's all mine.

Composing is most important. Now I got one piece of software that only works with Win 10 and one piece of software that only works with win 8 or lower.

No you are not alone in your opinion. With any OS update I like to sit back and let some time pass to see what works and what doesn't. I remember the Apple fiasco of last year. This is quite similar.
