Rewolf48 Posted October 1, 2015 Share Posted October 1, 2015 Well Digital Igloo said that they had finished with the firmware updates in the European warehouse (Yamaha in the Netherlands), and that they would be in the distribution chain. But none of the UK dealer sites including Yamaha UK are showing a date earlier than 30th October, which seems a very long time to get across the channel. There was one person on a thread somewhere saying that Norway was also November. Got to say that I have the money for my big 50 present in a week time starting to burn a hole, but it doesn't look as though there will be any to buy. A delivery update for you which was confirmed today. We have had a small delay with shipping. Regular stock will be arriving late October but we are air freighting in as many as we can. There will still be a delay but not as bad. We should get stock out to our dealers around the middle of October, hopefully sooner. We will be working with dealers to prioritise customer pre orders so those of you who have ordered hopefully won't be waiting too much longer. Just wanted to give it to you from the horses mouth as it were in case you thought a dealer was giving you the run around. They're not. It's our fault! The Helix unit you have ordered is due to arrive around 09/10 and we shall contact you once this unit is in store and ready for collection. Rewolf48 Posted October 7, 2015 Share Posted October 7, 2015 Just been to the GuitarGuitar Birmingham demo with Paul (might still be on if you are very quick) and what I was told by the L6 person that the entire first batch for the UK has been exceeded by pre-orders. Therefore the Stores will be reporting "in-store" dates for the second batch which might be late October or early November but that a significant amount of that batch was still going to be completing pre-orders, so if you order now there is a good chance for around the end of the month, but that free stock in stores might not be available until the batch after that. Helix looks great, sounds great, is easy to edit, really responsive...etc. basically what everybody else said. Sounded good for a group of different players in completely different styles. Update from PMT.....well not much of an update....still no news from UK distributor (Yamaha UK) as to when these units will be shipped, I'm still getting the whole Netherlands excuses at the moment. rdysan Posted October 12, 2015 Share Posted October 12, 2015 I received an email from Andertons on Friday saying that Line 6 have notified them that the units are now in the UK and will be sent to them early this week. Andertons hope they will receive the shipment on Wednesday (14th) and they will endeavour to get them turned around ASAP. From what I understand they get delivered to Yamaha UK first. I think Andertons are as frustrated as the next man on the delay and lack of concrete dates. Frankly, I've always found them to be a good bunch of guys and obviously they know that the longer the customer waits, the more chance they will cancel an order out of annoyance. What have they been doing with the UK units.............. It now looks like Europe are getting them too, so it looks like UK units are somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle. I have mine ordered from Guitarguitar (Newcastle) and was told by them via email to expect my Helix to arrive end of October/early November.
