cyberi4n
So I've just got my hands on the FBV 2 Shortboard to drive my POD HD Pro X. I have to say, the quality of the cable is absolutely shocking! No way that's going to stand up to modern touring. Has anyone here replaced their cable for something heavier and more durable? Something that will at least lie flat on a stage?
phil_m
It's just a regular Cat 5 (or Cat 5e) cable, so anything that meets that spec will work.
cyberi4n
Yeah I appreciate that - I know what it is!! But I want something that's at least as heavy as a standard guitar lead so it will lie flat under its own weight onstage. Every cat5 cable I've come across is lightweight and therefore coils all over the place.

leesteel
I agree with Cyberi4n, get yourself 100ft gigabit ethernet cables. They are sheilded and typically heavier quality. They work perfectly. Usually they have a nice plastic guard over the connector to protect the snap-in tab.
