Unlike, let's say. an extra amp. If you don't want to use it, you don't use it. But a footswitch would probably be always on. 64 patches available per setlist. That should be plenty for a 10-15 song set. When the first set is done, I take a minute to switch it by hand. Too many chances for an accident to happen when tap dancing on stage.
