Rocco_Crocco
I was in a rush to get to rehearsal last night, as I was late. I get there and everyone is waiting for me. I set up quickly. Plug my HD500X into the PA, strum an E chord and.... nothing. I check all my cables. They all work fine. WTF? I was just using the POD two hours earlier and it was working perfectly. I trace the issue to the "Guitar In" jack on the HD500X. Must be bad. Crap. I get through rehearsal using an old Flextone the drummer had lying around. It had a blown speaker. I keep the volume low and mic the speaker and crank it through the PA. Hey whatever, it got me through rehearsal. I get home and go online to find a Line 6 service center (still under warranty) . There's one fairly close by. "I wonder how long it will take to fix", I say to myself, thinking the worse (6 weeks? more?). I was resigned to being without my POD until it was fixed. This morning, on a whim, I plugged the POD to check how the inputs were set. Sure enough was set to "Variax" on 1 and "Same" on 2. This would render the "Guitar In" useless. This was not how I had it set. I Changed Input 2 back to guitar and it now works as it should. I swear, some odd little (technically savvy) creature must have turned on my HD500X and switched my input from "guitar" to "same". It wasn't me. Gremlins do exist. Rocco_Crocco
It was all the patches. I tried a bunch of them.
duncann
Perhaps the input settings was somehow changed from preset to global. And the global input settings were set to variax and same so you didn't hear any sound.
joel_brown
I always blame it on bad electricity... Especially when I hit a wrong note.

JTSC777
I can tell when the electricity is dirty at a gig bcause my HD500 sounds like poo. All of these digital devices are sensitive to power fluctuations.
