Maedros
I've been a bass player for 25 years, but I'm technically challenged so I'm hoping to get some input about how to connect the G90. I have a Gallien Krueger 800rb bass amp mounted in a rack, there is no input on the rear panel so I'd have to run a cable from the back of my rack to the front panel, which I don't really want to do. I noticed that the G90 has an XLR connector, my amp also has an XLR connector on the back, I assumed it was output only and intended to work as an integrated DI, I was wondering if it's possible to connect the G90 to the amp using this as the input? NBell
Hi Maedros, The XLR out and 1/4" out are considered the MAIN out of the G90 system, the output is the same for both outs. The XLR out is for Studio grade equipment that supports an XLR input, making your Gallien Krueger 800rb a perfect match. Feel free to connect an XLR cable to both back panels as XLR is a balanced connection, an ideal connection for the electric bass setup. :D
fredpamm
Nick, I also have a g90 but have a hartke lh1000 with the same problem that maedros has. The only input on the back of the lh1000 is for effects return. can this be used to receive the g90 input?

Going into the effects return would bypass the preamp, so not only would not have enough level going into the power amp, it would also sound horrible.
