titchyblackcat
Are the left and right outputs of the bean stereo or mono ? Each channel is stereo so i'm not sure if you could dual amp out of the bean in stereo. As i'm still learning i've been using the outputs by using mono jack (left and right) to my M-Audio sound card. silverhead
The L and R outputs of the HD Desktop form a stereo pair. Neither one sums a stereo signal to mono so if you only use one output you only get one half of the stereo signal. Not sure exactly what you mean when you ask if you can dual amp out in stereo. Both signal paths, A & B, in the device are stereo paths and they are both sent to the L/R outputs as specified in the HD mixer. If the mixer specifies that both paths are centered in the stereo field, then both paths (amps) are sent in full stereo.
titchyblackcat
What I mean silverhead is, when both paths are sent in full stereo are the jack sockets stereo ? If the paths are sent as stereo I'd expect L to be stereo out and R to be stereo out. I think they are both mono jacks which is how I use them at the moment. BillBee
I think you are correct Titchy. They are both individually mono (L/R) as seen through panning in the mixer. Though stereo fx can probably change that scenario I haven't screwed around with stereo enough to be honest. :)
silverhead
The paths are not related to the outputs. In other words, Path A does not correspond to the L output jack. Not sure why you would expect a stereo output jack. Both paths are stereo and each path is sent to both outputs as specified in the mixer. Edit: To put it another way....... The L output jack carries its share (the left-side portion) of the stereo signal from both Path A and Path B, as specified in the mixer. Similarly, the R output jack carries the specified right-side portion of the signal from both paths.
