iamthenightstars
I was wondering if it would be possible to use my pod hd as an interface for bias fx. I installed bias and when I opened it in reaper I was unable to get any sound from it with the pod hd driver selected. Is it possible to do this or do I need to buy a different interface to use bias? iamthenightstars
yes you can... you need to arm a track for recording, bias should be selected as a FX plugin on the same track, and the specific track monitoring should be enabled, but the POD direct hardware monitoring level should be turned all the way down by using its driver control panel Thank you. I got it to work, but now I'm experiencing a strange problem. Sound keeps coming in and out. Like, every 15 seconds my guitar only works for 2 seconds and then it cuts out again for another 15 seconds. Any idea what's causing this? DunedinDragon
+1000 on hardware modeling over software modeling. I don't think people really understand how demanding modeling is on computing resources. For a couple of years I used plug-ins for modeling on my recordings, but it was a constant battle with finding ways to keep latency at bay. And I have a very capable desktop with a fast processor and lots of memory. At the time it seemed worth it since the plug-ins appeared to be more robust than most hardware solutions at the time, but I don't see that as the case at all nowdays. I can't imagine any scenario that would drag me back into the bad ol' days of software modeling now.
