Pod HD Pro with midi raider

Hello everyone,

I've got the line 6 Pod HD Pro and I want to use it with my Rocktron Midi Raider.

If I build my first preset (clean A1: 2 amps, noise gate, chorus (off), delay (off) & tremelo (off))everything wordks fine, can control 3 effect seperatly without a problem. Once I create a second preset (dirty clean A2 sound: FXloop, 2 amps, noise gate, chorus (off), delay (off) & tremelo (off)) and switches between them everythings change.

Sometimes preset 1becomes like this 1 amps on , noise gate, chorus (on), delay (on) & tremelo (off) or 2 amps, noise gate, chorus (on), delay (off) & tremelo (on).

Same goes with the second preset and so on. Also at sometimes when working with my preset my pod gives a * at the top left.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I'm not planning on using a Line 6 FBV board because I've got the midi raider and other effects from my wife.

When I've looked into this system it said it was controllable by midi but now I've been wondering if I should go with eleven rack or something else.

Hope someone could help me out.

Sorry for any miss spellings, I'm from belgium so englisch is not my main language.

Jeroen

Are you saving your preset before you switch to another one? All changes you make to any preset are only temporary and are lost if you don't save the preset using the SAVE button. The little asterisk * beside the preset name means that you have made changes. It's a warning to you that if you switch to another preset while the asterisk is visible any changes since you last saved it will be lost.

Saved it on the pod HD pro itself, also tried it on the pod HD edit software.

Sometimes I saved it multiple times just to be sure.

Was the first things I've tried.

Hi guy

got this issue when set my pod hd pro in ABCD control mode, and footswitch assigned in the preset on fs5 and fs6 and.... as i wanted to do in FS1 -FS8

assigned switch were rebalanced randomly

Footswitch function are no problem with me, just the preset changing with is the main core.

now I use 10 presets with every effect seperatly with is not the solution but good enough for home playing.

Regret for not taking the Eleven Rack!

does this occurs even when USB cabe isn't plugged ?

i has this probem when puggued to usb each change done via switch were kept when changing preset, and reverting to previous changed preset, reflect action i've made previously and not the saved state.

Another question are you sure your midi controler do not send extra information when using preset change midi message ? such like CC on/off state for every switch on your board ?

Yes, the problem also occurs when the USB cable isn't plugged in

Every instant access switch is off

I'm not used so much with midi implementation of POD

But if i'm correct before buiying mine + MKII fbv , i've looked for midi controler and read ....somewhere... that midi foot controler won't reflect preset status, as FBV do with active and inactive switch light on controler.

So i would tend to think that either it's a buggy interaction between your controler and pod and .....

Bingo after a research -> http://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/pod-hd-pro-figured-id-post-here-since-rich-renken-somtimes-is-on-here.993540/

The POD HD Pro MIDI implementation doesn't follow convention. Typically a CC value of 0-63 means 'off' and 64-127 means 'on'. However any value (0-127) sent to the HD simply flips an effect to its opposite state (on or off) making it impossible to predict and automate the required HD effect state using MIDI commands, within an HD Patch.

and the soution i was about to suggest but already written in the linked forum

Set up the preset on the POD HD Pro and the GC Pro to synchronize the enabled/bypassed states as desired and save the presets you've programmed on both units.
