Just today, my HD EDIT wouldn't load the patches, Mokey wouldn't detect the HD500 and it was showing problem for the driver and firmware. I found out while switching the computer off, that Windows was trying to update, disabling the USB PORT Once REBOOTED, it worked just fine. Hope it is a similar situation for your problem.
