Mr_Arkadin
What device are you referring to?
targa2
HD 500. Is that what you mean?
pfsmith0
Windows may have changed your sound palyback/recording device. Right-click the speaker icon in the toolbar on the lower right of the screen near the clock and select Playback Devices and see what is listed. You may need to change the default device. You may also need to do the same for Recording Devices.
targa2
I'm on a Mac. I'll see if I can figure that route out for Mac . Thanks Just so it's clear what I am struggling with. I am hooked up through the stereo outs of the Pod HD 500 to inputs in Cubase. I am also hooked up to the editing software via USB. Is the USB connection trying to access the audio of the Pod and how do I bypass that so it behaves as it does when I am not hooked up via usb. Thanks
Mr_Arkadin
So you're not monitoring via the POD HD500 I take it? If you're monitoring via the computer then what is probably happening is that Cubase is selecting the POD ASIO driver. Go to the audio preferences in Cubase and check which driver you have selected for audio rec/playback and select the one for your audio card (if this is indeed how you are monitoring). Please note ASIO can only select one device for both rec/playback.
