dl4rc5qew
Hi, I'm working on a paper on early digital modelers, focusing on the original POD since it was the biggest thing in amp modeling and really revolutionized direct recording. I can't find any info on sales figures, could someone help me out? That is, how many units did the original POD (and version 2.0) sell approximately? Thanks in advance. -Hannu
phil_m
If placed all the POD 2.0s ever sold end to end, they would circle around the world three times... :D Honestly, I doubt anyone other than Line 6 has a clue, and I can't imagine they're going to share that information. I remember a number of years ago, Line 6 announced that they had sold over a million Spider amps, and that was counting every different iteration in the line. I would be surprised if the sales of the 2.0 bean came anywhere near that.
