Where are all the amps that are present on the Pod X3?  the X3 had all the expansion  packs, Metal Shop, power pack, and effects junkie ect, do I have to buy the expansion packs to get them on the HD500X? are the packs even compatible with the HD500X? Its a great unit, but it would be better with the other models included on it.

The HD500X does not have all of the amps that the X3 did.  You cannot add to the HD series with model packs.  Line 6 made up for quantity with quality.

Line 6 has released a few new models since the inception of the HD line.  Hopefully, they will add more.

X3 isn't the same quality tier as these amp models.

I really want them to add a Mesa Boogie Mark V  amp model for the HD lineup.

I already sent a request for it.

And maybe another Engl amp.

And a 2nd Bass amp.

I would be completely set on that.

Thanks for the replies guys, pretty much answers all my questions, love the tone of this unit, it really has blown me away with the quality and I have only been playing with it since the weekend.

When you explore what you can do with deep editing of the power amp and cab parameters, there are more tonal possibilities with the POD HD than with the X3.

Cheers,

I am learning to work around my favorite XTLive amp....MS-Criminal. I am hoping they add some of the good ones from the previous versions of the XT line.
