bartnettle1
Helix sounds like it's got more dynamic range especially in the low end. There is a sense of better resolution that is an unmistakable difference kinda like the difference between 16bit 41khz and 24bit at 98khz.. It is a subtle difference
joel_brown
Holy crap, what a difference. I'm not going to run out and buy a Helix.
duncann
Holy crap, what a difference. I'm not going to run out and buy a Helix. Thanks for taking a listen Joel. If the HD works for you, no reason to change that. Because there would be an interruption in whatever process you're currently used to. I know a lot of people have a lot of time invested in the HD, including me. And if you were to move to Helix, a good amount of the HD's particulars suddenly becomes useless. On the other hand, it's quite a bit easier building tones with Helix with what I think are noticeably better results, and the interruption would be minimal. Not trying to sell Helix, just conveying my experience with both, mostly in the form of music.
joel_brown
This was a great comparison. Yeah the Helix sounds a little better but the PODHD sounds really good too. The Helix has to be easier to create tones cause the PODHD couldn't make it much harder - lol.
