titchyblackcat
I'm trying to get a natural sound of my Strat' by not having an amp selected but wondered if i were to use an amp to get more parameters involved which one would it be ? I'm trying a Blackface at the minute with out a cab to get more volume. Just wondered if anyone else had any ideas for a clean sound. radatats
The JC-120 is known to be a super clean model. Won't distort as you turn it up, probably a good choice...

Just your guitar with no coloration? With my Variax I don't use an AMP at all when using the Acoustic setting or using my mag pickups for uncolored clean sounds. All I wanted was an uncolored signal and the thing that bugged me was all I needed was a little volume and I was good (Just like you). I tried the Vintage Pre effect (you might want to try it) without an amp but I ultimately started to use the mixer to get me the uncolored volume. I also pan everything center and then raise the mixer level to the correct volume. Don't be afraid to use the mixer volume sliders. Hope this helps. titchyblackcat
Thanks guys. They're great ideas I'll try them over the next week. (A bit limited on getting time to play).
