Power Supply problem or HD500 problem?

I played it today at my gig as I normally do.  Came home and plugged it in and the screen lit up for a second and went dead.  I tried different outlets.  It did the same thing one more time.  Now it appears to just be dead

I did notice the green light is not illuminating on the power supply.

Does the power supply only light up when connected to a working HD500 or is it always lit when plugged into power?  This would make the solution obvious... as well as less costly.

Thanks.

Even if the power supply is connected to power and not connected to the HD, the light still lights. So it does sound like the power supply is kaput.

You could try one of these: http://www.trcelectronics.com/View/Mean-Well/GSM36B09-P1J.shtml

But I remember coming across some info on this forum about the output connector for this supply being slightly different in size. Might want to search for that to be sure.

This is true. I posted this awhile ago

WARNING:WARNING. This won't work. I know according to the specs the "hole" on the connector is 2.1mm but this is WRONG!!!. 2.1mm is too small. I wasted $20 finding this out. The correct measurment is 2.5mm not 2.1mm. I was trying to get an elbow adapter for the 500 and the 2.1 didn't work. The specific measurements were. 5.5 X 2.5. This is what I got.

BiXPower LC53 Right Angle Connector Converter for 5.5 x 2.5mm DC Power Connector

This size worked. I don't know why their measurements are so off.

So if you got that power supply, you would need a 2.1mm-2.5mm barrel to convert it too the proper size.
