Firehawk FX Loop

Does anyone use the FX loop much on their Firehawk?  If so, what types of effects/pedals are you putting in the loop?

Basically, the Firehawk has replaced my pedal board that I've been piecing together for years and I'm trying to be reasonable and sell off the pedals, since I simply don't use them much.  But, also, if I can find any kind of decent excuse to keep some of them and start using them again, I will.

Hence, the above question.

Thanks!

I just started using it a couple weeks ago.  I was having a growling noise issue that just popped up with my Visual Volume pedal.  Hooking it up on the effects loop corrected it, for what ever reason.  I use the Visual Volume pedal so I don't have to guess where my level is with respect to the other guitar.  I can just glance down and see where I am, even if I can't hear myself in the monitor.  We've coordinated our setups, then when the sound guys get done on his end, we can adjust according to the song and who is the lead.

I am less than satisfied with the looper. I have given it a serious effort, and it is just not the easiest thing to control. One stomp button and color state indication does not work well for me. I cannot get my samples to align well at the loop cutoff. I especially do not care for the short sound replay when clearing the loop. These things pretty much limit me to use it for only brief exercises. I don't get much inspiration using it. The looper was not in the original firmware. It's implementation seems rushed and incomplete, like they simply wanted to be able to advertise it as one more feature on the FH FX. I am on 1.20 firmware. I would be pleased to find some looper improvements in the next firmware release.

To this end I am totally pissed. In my opinion forget using the looper in a live inviroment because the clear function is totally wrong. also having to stomp twice to stop the loop then go into clear mode. Wouldn't it make more sense to use tap to stop and clear therefore releasing the function toggle for record, overdub etc.

Also as far as using the fx loop for a looper pedal you have to save the fx loop in your preset if you want to use the fx which is fine however if you want to loop from an external looper and change presets for a different tone forget it because you would need to switch from pre to post on you fx loop using the remote app rendering this system useless for any legitimate looped function. However there is a work around I would be glad to share but not going to go into specifics. The bottom line is I believe this was a rush situation or not intirely thought out for live performance as indicated by marketing as more and more are using looped functions in there performance.
