keepsix
I recently picked up a used HD 500 all the loaded factory pre sets are gone. I would love to reset back to factory and use some of these tones. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated thanks.
silverhead
You need to reinstall the firmware to restore factory presets. Before doing so you may want to backup any existing presets/setlists that you want to restore later. Use the HD500 Edit program to do this. Use Line 6 Monkey, with your HD500 connected via usb, to reinstall the firmware. If you want the detailed firmware installation instructions look in the Knowledge Base FAQs (under the Support tab above).
pianoguyy
But I think it would be worth noting: 1. People have saved the Bundle, and may be willing to offer it up to you. Which may be a better option because of: 2. Reinstalling the firmware will also reset settings other than just the patches. Sure, you want to learn what these settings are and how to use them, but you should at least know that they will also be reset before you go losing them.

The factory presets are aggressively awful, and almost entirely useless. You're gonna end up starting from scratch anyway...
