Comb filter

Hi to all the Line 6 users and experts!

I'm a proud owner of a POD HD500X with all 3 model packs of vintage, metal and bass amps & cabs and it's great!!

I arrive to my question: how can I obtain a cool comb filter effect like that used by Yngwie Malmsteen in the main intro of Queen in Love?

Before having the POD I used a Zoom G9.2TT with a great comb filter but a bump of current made on night my beloved pedalboard only a wonderful memory.

With that device I can apply a meaty comb filter in the effects chain and was very very cool.

I'm new to the Line 6 world so I ask if an expert can give me a suggestion.

Heart thanks to all who reply me!

Try the 80A flanger with:

Range = full counterclockwise (removes sweep)

Enhance = 50% (or whatever you like)

Manual = adjust to get the comb filter response you like (or set control for EXP1 to allow you to try different settings while you play)

Odd/Even = select the one that sounds best to you.

Hi pfsmith0,

I've tried your parameters for the comb filter and I've descovered that the right for a huge comb filter with '80 flanger are:

Range = 0% (removes sweep)

Enhance = 50%

Manual = 70-71%, not lesser nor greater

Odd/Even = Odd.

These are useful for Malmsteen who makes a great use of it and also for some old school death metal or funeral doom.
