talonmm
Lately, I've seen some strange things when I modify my patches using a pc and the edit program. It seems that some of the changes I make will take affect on the pod hd 500 and them somehow the effects will change. The most common culprit is that the volume of the changed patch changes radically (usually becomes much lower). It seems as I near the completion of the patch, I find myself having to power off the pod unit and power it back on and sometimes remove the usb cable from the pc to make sure the final patch in the pod is exactly the correct sound and volume. I am careful not to change the volume pedal switch when modifying patches and I continuously make sure any changes I make in the edit program is sent to the pod unit, yet sometimes there are instances where the sound volume and characteristics are not what they are supposed to be. Has anyone else seen this problem? I have the latest firmware. Is my unit starting to go? Once the unit is no longer hooked up the the pc, everything seems stable and I never make modifications on the unit itself. thanks
pianoguyy
Step 1 to solving computer problems - reboot. You did that. Next step is always - reinstall the firmware.
AlexKenivel
Communication between PC and Pod while editing is known to be buggy. After I save a preset I usually have to change banks and come back to it before it sounds right
talonmm
Communication between PC and Pod while editing is known to be buggy. After I save a preset I usually have to change banks and come back to it before it sounds right I did not realize the communication was known to be buggy. I just noticed my issues recently and believe for a long time these issues never happened to me. I am delving deeper and deeper into the settings so that may have something to do with it. The idea to change banks never occurred to me but that's a quicker fix than unplugging the unit and disconnecting it from the pc and having the pc and pod resend all the settings. If all else fails I will reinstall the firmware. Thanks!
bjnette
I have only ever noticed it when I have forgotten to send patch to HD but I do usually edit on the unit itself
