fudgaf
It seems the G10 transmitter isn't smart enough to know when the base is unplugged. If you plug in the transmitter to the receiver and turn the power off to the base the transmitter does not go to sleep (like it does in a resting guitar). The transmitter will drain it's battery and you will find it dead when you go to plug into your guitar the next time. Is this how it's suppose to work? I'm a little surprised. Line 6 needs to fix this. Seems like an obvious features, or am I way off base here? I don't plan to keep the power on all the time... Thoughts? Lee7uk
I too have noticed that, if the base isn't powered up and you plug the transmitter in the halo on the base unit still pulses and the led on the transmitter lights up. Oversight maybe?
DarrellM5
It seems to work just like the external battery chargers for our cell phones. It must be a direct connection. My solution is to leave the base plugged in all the time.
Lee7uk
What happened last night for me was that the transimitter didn't go in to sleep mode as expected. I had left it plugged into the guitar after sound check, came back over an hr or so later and it was still powered up, no big deal, I just plugged it back into the charger. This did happen a couple of weeks ago, but I put it down to maybe the pick ups on the guitar picking up ambient noises and keeping the transmitter active? fudgaf
In the guitar it will more reliably sleep if guitar volume is off. We can't always be at 10 accross the board. I'm not sure the deal with the base station, yesterday I unplugged the charger and it did seem to go to sleep. (That is what I want.). I think it was fully charged at the time I turned it off, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Irregardless, the behavior seems a bit erratic there. So I'm still not sure what to expect it to do. That nas for the comments guys. Keep em coming so we get to the bottom of this. Hopefuloy a voice of Line 6 will also chime in.
