gtrshop
I searched the KB and Forums before posting, didn't find anything relevant. Can anyone tell me the pinout of a Line 6 Ethernet cable? is it standard Ethernet... 568A or 568B, or is it something proprietary for line 6? I need to repair mine. Mr_Arkadin
Actually it's a CAT-5 cable. Ethernet is the protocol that happens to use that cable. Line 6's protocol is not Ethernet, but also uses the CAT-5 cable. So just wire for a standard CAT-5. I realise that it's a slightly pedantic point, but it's worth making the distinction so that people don't try and connect Line 6 kit to their computer's Ethernet port just because it uses the same connector. JPFlores
Does anyone know if you can use a CAT-7 cable? I ask because I found some heavy duty ones on amazon with a nylon covering (like a guitar cable).
