Hd500x Preset Volume Change Issue

I just got the HD500x a couple of weeks ago.

Here is one of the issues I am having.

I've created 4 patches for performance mode.

The patches are on F6,F7,F8,F9

F6 and F7 are set for rhythm tones

F8 and F9 are Lead tones.

If I switch from either of my Rhythm patches to patch F8 (Lead tone 1)

Then All is fine.

However if I switch from either rhythm patches to F9 (Lead Tone 2)

Then Lead Tone 2 has a drop in volume from what is programmed.

Now here is part that does not make sense.

If I go from F8 (Lead tone 1) to F9 (Lead Tone 2) then F9 comes up as the correct volume with no issues.

All 4 patches are programmed for the EXP 1 to control Volume .

(I've installed the latest Flash also.)

Any ideas?

What have you got programmed in each patch?  Are you using just effects or are you using AMP models?  If you are using AMP models, are you using a different model for each patch, or the same model for each patch but just with different EQ and volume settings?

Also, how have you got the output for the HD500X set up?  Are you running direct to PA or a mixer or into a DTxx amp or another amp?   Are you using a James Tylver Variax as your guitar input via VDI, or are you just using a standard electric guitar?

  • 2 months later...

Have the same type of issue.

FS5 = Clean

FS6 = Blues

FS7 = Crunch.

When i switch from FS5 to FS6, FS6 is louder than if i switch from FS7 to FS6.

How can the same patch (FS6) volume be louder or softer just related to where i am switching from?

weirdest thing. Anyone else seen this? I have the latest code all round..

Cheers
