Amplitube 3 <-> Pod Hd 500

In Amplitube you have to choose the POD HD500 ASIO Driver. IF you only want to hear amplitube and not the POD in LINE 6 devices in the monitor TAB, move the volume slider all the way to the left. Now you will only hear amplitube presets. Now remember as long as you USB is connected you will not  hear POD HD unless you move that slider back to the right or in case you using a DAW you can activate the monitor on the audio track.

Well to change presets you must do the Midi configuration yourself if you want to use the POD HD 500 as a Midipedalboard.

Or any other product aswell unless you want to buy a gadget called Stealth Pedal from IK Multimedia but you still need an optional switching pedal in order to switch presets

I tried to configure my Behringer Midipedalboard FCB 1010 to work with Amplitube (and Guitar RIG) but i did not have the patience to do it so i quit as it is a timeconsuming job and very very boring..

If you buy the IK Multimedia pedal and the swithing pedal they will "shake hands" immediately but with another midiboard you have to assigne every "midichannel" on the midipedalboard to the corresponding channel in Amplitube or any other software..

It is far more easy to use the corresponding products as they are ready make..

I remember first time i tried a rackunit called ART SGX 2000 and had a midipedal from Roland it did not work(out of the box)

So i bought the ART version that was made for SGX unit and hooked it up with 2 midicables and everything just worked.

Thank you very much for your answer. But what I need know is how to change preset from one to another up/down while PC is contected via Usb port.I have to add I do not have MIDI connection.Thank u for you time and help

You cant change Amplitube presets via USB from the HD500, The USB is for AUDIO only on the HD500.

So you would need a separate Midi INPUT on your PC, from a Sound card, audio interface etc.. Then connect the MIDI OUT on the HD500 to the MIDI IN on your interface via a MIDI cable.

From there you can map the midi output on the HD500 to match what is needed in Amplitube to change presets.

if your pc doesn`t have midi, you can get usb to midi adapters cheap (less than 10 €), try searching:

usb midi logilink     to get an idea.

2 or more adapters can be used simultaneously/independently. (may not apply to all brands/models).

the built-in soundcard functionality is optional, doesn`t have to be used for midi.

in amplitube, you will still have to edit/map the midi channels/codes though.

happy midiing

Well for this to work , the patch in the POD HD has to be completely dry so the preset can't include amp models or anything in it.Unfortunately if you want to use the POD's Driver and use the POD as a controller, the PODs patches all have to be dry. A work around would be to make a setlist specifically for amplitube and copy a dry patch to all the presets in the Setlist in the POD. WHen you select that setlist, all the presets will be dry and won't effect the Amplitube presets.

Hi!After using dry patch (new tone) in HD 500 and conecting with Amplitube sound deformation is getting smaller but I can still notice(hear) kind of reverb. What I should change in new tone patch to make HD 500 not to  interfering with Amplitube and working in the mode "bypass"Thanks for you time

have you tried simply selecting the tuner?

(of course make sure that the tuner is not muted)
