100% Wet Reverb Pad?

That sounds like a cleaning product :-)

I'm not at my Helix at the moment but you might try using the Reverse Delay with a fair amount of feedback into a reverb set at 100% - that will take away the attack and make it sound more pad-y.

I tried this and it doesn't really result in what I think you're thinking it might do. (The reverse delay gives me nightmares; attempting to use it for a small section in my next song. It's easily the most potentially bizarre effect Helix has and it's evil  )

Hey peeps,

Was wondering if anyone has gotten a 100% Wet Reverb pad tone in their Helix devices? Trying to configure a pad tone but could only get close to 95% wet.

Any help is much appreciated!

Like you, I also notice that the reverbs always have a slight 'dry sounding' attack despite the mix (really a wet/dry balance) being at 100%. If you've ever heard the HD500 reverbs when set at 100%, I think that's the sound you're probably looking for, but I've been unable to duplicate that on Helix. Wish I could be more help other than confirming what you're hearing.

The Helix Reverbs are all from the HD POD and a reason why not up to the potential and top shelf of the Helix, yet.

If the POD can do it seems the Helix would be the same as they are the POD reverbs.

If the full mix is not 100& wet I am at a loss until they HX the Reverb section.

Which reverb model are you wanting to use? I just tried this, and while I agree that it probably doesn't work well with all models, it seems to work pretty well with the Plate, Particle Verb and Octo Verb (the Octo probably not quite as much as the first two I mentioned). With the Particle Verb, I can't say I heard any dry signal with the mix at 100. With the Plate, it's not so much the dry signal, but there is kind of a sharp attack. One thing that helps a lot is putting a volume pedal block in front and doing swells into this pad effect. That takes the attack away.

I didn't try all of the models, but I think the springs and reverbs modeled after spaces won't give you want you want because even at 100% wet, those first few passes of reverberation are going to sound somewhat dry.
