Clearing snapshots

What exactly do you mean by 'clearing' a snapshot? If you just want to rename them you can rename one and then copy it to the other slots. For instance, rename snapshot #3 to 'Snapshot 3'. Then copy/paste it to snapshot #4, etc. But every preset has, and will continue to have, 8 snapshots. It's just a matter of whether and how you want to use them.

I think what CBTL might have in mind is, for example, to have snapshot one selected, then copy this snapshot (even though it may be different than it was originally) to all others at once, in effect sort of clearing them all. But there is no way to do that. You'd have to do it one by one.

I didn't explain myself very well at all. All I mean is to restore all the snap shots in a preset to there original names and states ie all copies of snapshot 1 but with the names in sequence and no changes applying when you change through them 🙄

That's what I thought you meant. :)

So instead of doing everything one by one, and assuming you can remember the exact state of snapshot 1 when the preset was first constructed, the only way you could easily do exactly what you want would be to make a copy of the preset before you start changing any of the snapshots.

There is a way at least partially do this. When you're in the Controller Assign screen and press the ACTION key, you have the option over Knob 2 to Clear All Controllers. So this would clear any snapshot controllers you've set up. You would still have to go reset the block bypass states in each snapshot. It might be easier to copy and paste one snapshot over the other ones, though, as others have already said.

Perchance does that also remove associated commands?

Copying and pasting a snapshot over another will replace any of the commands in the command center with the ones being pasted.

If you're asking if clearing the controllers clears the commands, no it doesn't. There is a separate command for that, though.  Hit the ACTION key while in Command Center, and press Knob 5 for "Clear All Commands".
