mborsini52
My POD sounds great for a while after it has been on for a few minutes and warms up. After playing for a few minutes the gain and tone/volume fluctuate at random on any patch I use. If I click a few different patches a couple of times the tone returns for a few minutes and drops out again. Amp technicians have not been able to figure out what is causing this. It is quieter when I first turn it on and gets louder as I play and continues to fluctuate the whole time.
BillBee
That sucks, few things try parking all the knobs at 0 prior to starting up and maybe run it not sitting on the cab (if you are). It could be knob movement by the vibrations. When my trusty XTL does random things I give the old knobs the spin routine, it can help (left right repeat a few times). Are you running the latest firmware in it?
mborsini52
All the newest firmware. Does the same thing regardless of FBV controller being plugged in. Running to an amp or DI or USB.
mborsini52
It ping pongs back and forth between sounding quiet and thin to sounding amazing the entire time I'm playing it.

mborsini52
This happens running XLR to a PA or USB to a PC. Regardless of speaker connection.

mborsini52
Already have. They don't know what is wrong and think that it is something I am doing wrong.
mborsini52
I have used multiple guitars and different cables. All the same results.
mborsini52
It reacts like a component is overheating and shutting down then returns to normal operation once it cools down.
mborsini52
I've done all that. Same results.
mborsini52
As for volume pedal calibration, I have not been able to find the procedure for the FBV 3.
BillBee
If it does the volume jump without the FBV plugged in then its not the FBV. IIRC - been a while - Hold D while plugging the cat5 cable in. Release D and go through the procedure (toe- heel, D for next). Perhaps a Vid for the L6 Tech guys might persuade them. Sometimes the old adage is true.
mborsini52
This calibration trick does not work on the FBV 3 volume pedal.
mborsini52
This volume fluctuation happend regardless of being connected to the foot controller.
BillBee
Dude instead of carpet bombing the forum with your problem you need to keep hammering at L6 via a Support Ticket. L6 is here when they can but it is hit or miss.
