Spider V Amp with the MKII Shortboard

Recommended Posts

Hello all!

I'm fairly new to the Line 6 community.  For the last 20 years I've played through a Marshall half stack with my own pedal board.  I no longer play live, downsized a bit, and a friend of mine who manages a Guitar Center recommended that I get a Spider V.  I love it !!  The presets are amazing and just what I need to play with friends.  I quickly realized that I needed a pedalboard to switch between presets and purchased the MKII Shortboard.  This is where I run into problems.  I simply want to program 4 or 5 presets from the Spider V to the MKII.  The user manuals that I have found here online do not seem to give that information.  Can anyone tell me how to simply take, say the metal rhythm preset on the Spider V and have that be Button "A" on the Shortboard?

The Shortboard is just a controller - you save the preset on the amp - to one of the User Bank locations.  You then use the up/down buttons on the Shortboard to change banks, and the ABCD buttons to select from the 4 presets saved to those bank locations.
