RobDMag
Hello, I just bought a POD HD300 V 2.01 off of Reverb for my son for xmas. He's been playing for about a year and figured this would help him learn about effects and amps yada yada. I plug it in to check it out and I can only get audio out of a few presets. I tried headphones, using the both 1/4" outputs, or just the one marked "L/mono", I've went back and forth between the DB pad in the back for "line" or "amp" I have figured out that if I use a preset that works, and I click the Presets knob, I can hear every amp, no problem, but if I try to switch the amp model while on a preset that works using the amp knob to the left of Drive knob, the audio cuts out and I get nothing. My guitar rig consists of multiple pedals in a rack ran through a midi switching system, along with some on the floor, a laptop running 3 devices live (a hit pad and 2 keyboards) I'm no slouch when it comes to gear and hooking lollipop up, lol, but I can't figure this damn thing out. Thank you for your time, happy holidays
BillBee
I would fire up the L6 Edit for it and see if the patches have the volume/exp set. You are not alone I had a few WTF moments until I realized either the panning in the mixer was hard set or the vol/exp pedal wasn't assigned and the amp's channel was set to damn near zero. :) At least there is sound out of some patches so you know the unit is probably functioning correctly. silverhead
First thing I would do is reinstall the firmware and replace all existing presets with the factory presets. That will give you a known starting point for diagnosis. Perhaps the firmware installation has become corrupt, or the previous owner customized the presets to such an extent that they are exhibiting the symptoms you describe. Once you have a known baseline it will easier for you (and us) to figure things out.
RobDMag
Thanks for the replies, the seller said he had done a factory reset before sending, however I downloaded Monkey and updated the system, flashed the memory and reset to factory settings and all inputs and outputs work fine throughout all the patches. silverhead
Great! I'm sure your son will enjoy his Xmas present. Introduce him to this forum, especially the POD HD Knowledge Base and FAQs, for any questions about usage.
